丹波篠山らしい、のどかな風景。青い空が綺麗でした。

This was the typical view of the town.  I loved the blue sky!



こちらは、お昼にお邪魔したレストラン。外観は古いですが（茅葺きのお家自体は築４００年だとか）、中は近代的で居心地のいいお店でした。

We had great lunch at this place.  In spite of the old looking (the straw-thatched house was originally built 400 years ago), the inside was pretty modern and comfortable to eat at.



軒下にタマネギが吊るしてありました。

Bunches of onions were hung under the eaves.



ランチコースの前菜。地元の野菜がふんだんに使われていて、美味しかったです。

Entree of the course, consisting of delicious side dishes featuring local vegetables.



商店街には猪肉のお店が何軒かありましたが、まだ狩りの時期じゃないようで閉まっているお店も多かったです。

One of the wild boar butchers in the town, which I found interesting.



昭和４０年代頃の琺瑯看板。ちなみにこの由美かおると水原弘はほぼ必ずセットで貼られているのだそう。

Vintage enamel signs, which presumably dates back to the 1960-70s.



帰る頃には日が沈みかけていて、きれいな夕焼けを見ることが出来ました。

The sun was almost set by the time we were leaving, so we were lucky enough to be treated to a beautiful twilight.



帰り道、可愛い（？）猪が見送ってくれました。

A pretty (well, maybe not) wild boar was at the bridge to send us off.
